Salt

Salt is not a food. It is an inorganic chemical compound - sodium chloride. The body does not respond the same to table salt as it does to naturally occurring sodium found in green vegetables. It does not take much table salt to be considered an excess and contributes to hardening of the arteries and can cause an imbalance of calcium and potassium in the body.

The objective would be to eliminate salt altogether from the diet, but if one must have it, use sea salt. Nature's Sunshine sea salt does not contain the fillers and other additives commonly used in table salt.
