Zinc

"A zinc deficient diet produces irreversible damage to the male reproductive organs of rats and significant but reversible damage to the esophagus in the same animals."*

Alcohol tends to flush zinc out of the system; helpful in managing rheumatoid arthritis; essential in advanced inoperable vascular disease, alcoholism, atherosclerosis, diabetes, occlusions, and stenosis; essential in healing of arterial injuries, improvement in mental processes, and upper respiratory infections; precious metal for pregnant mothers as babies deficient in zinc tend to be smaller and have smaller brains.

Zinc is important as a carrier to get rid of waste carbon dioxide from the body.
