Magnesium

According to Dr. Bernard Jensen, magnesium is known as the "relaxer." With the tensions of daily living, we develop colitis, constipation, spastic conditions and ulcers that will not allow our bowels to eliminate toxic materials adequately. Natural laxative foods are yellow: Peaches, apricots, oranges, grapefruit, yellow summer & winter squash. Yellow cornmeal, even though it is a heavy starch, is still great as a laxative because it contains so much magnesium.

Magnesium contributes to the alkalinity of the body. It calms nerves, induces restful sleep, combats acids, toxins, gases and impurities. It prevents phosphates from depositing in joints and other dense body structures. If these deposits occur, arthritis, bone complications or gout may develop. A person with a hyperactive nervous system must have magnesium and this is why our daughter benefits from its use for her Fibromyalgia. She takes Nature's Sunshine "Fibralgia" and I have another friend that takes 7 of these per day for her rheumatoid arthritis.
